How to Use the iPhone X: A Guide to All the New Features
After carefully removing your new iPhone X from its packaging, Apple offers three ways to configure the device. If you want to leave the past behind and start over, you can set up the X as a new phone without restoring the previous settings.

However, if you have many applications, photos, music, or other files that you really want to move from your old phone to a new one, you can restore them from a backup stored in the cloud or iTunes. We will show you both ways.
Restore iTunes Backup

After turning on your new iPhone and selecting your language and country, you'll be prompted to restore your iPhone from a backup, to configure your device as a new iPhone, or to transfer data from an Android device. In this case, select Restore from iTunes Backup.
1. Connect your new iPhone to your computer using the included Lightning USB cable. (If you have a MacBook with only USB-C ports, you will need to purchase a Lightning USB-C cable.) I know.

1. Enter your Apple ID and password

3. Accept the terms and conditions.
4. Choose an iCloud backup. You can identify the latest backup using the date and time stamp.
5. After choosing a backup, choose whether you want to mirror the configuration of your old iPhone or customize it on your new phone.
6. Your iPhone X is restored from your iCloud backup. The process may take a while, so be patient.
