Asus VivoWatch BP Takes Your Blood Pressure in Real Time
When is a smartwatch not a smartwatch?
If you are looking for your health and well-being, like the Asus VivoWatch BP.
VivoWatch BP, announced at the Asus Computex 2018 press conference, is the first conventional smartwatch to offer blood pressure measurements. Although the company has not announced any pricing or availability, Asus has announced some features and interesting features.
The biggest, of course, is the control of blood pressure. With built-in ECG and PPG sensors, the watch provides real-time measurements in 15 seconds. This is a serious change in gambling, as hypertension kills more than 9.4 million people a year, according to the World Health Organization. The WHO estimates there will be 1,560 million high blood pressure patients by 2025.
Unlike other watches that follow this measurement, Vivo watch BP does not raise the arm to a certain height. All I had to do to do the magic was put my finger on the large metal sensor on the left side of the dial and let the clockwork.
Equipped with the ASUS patented ASUS HealthAI, VivoWatch BP also tracks your lifestyle and recommends keeping your blood pressure at an acceptable level. And like other popular smartwatches/fitness straps on the market, it also helps track your sleep and exercise habits. And even if it has medical benefits, do not think of VivoWatch BP as a lousy medical tool. Asus worked to give the smartwatch style. For beginners, the watch is 50 percent smaller than a normal sphygmomanometer.
The notebook has a rather elegant dial, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and has a large number of interchangeable strips of medical grade silicone. The face is a bit wide for my liking, but I could get used to it, sooner rather than later. In addition to the potential health benefits, VivoWatch BP is what I like most about battery life. Asus says it will take 28 days with a single charge.
It's the head and shoulder of the competition, and I can not wait to integrate that into Tom's Guide's Labs to put it to the test.
